SUNDARBAN
Wildife Photography Workshop
About The Tour
Sundarbans, a realm where land, river, and forest meet in raw harmony. Golden light pierces through the mangroves, and the call of distant birds breaks the silence of dawn. From the tranquil creeks of Sudhanyakhali & Sajnekhali to the untamed wilderness of Dobanki, Netidhopani, and Pirkhali, every frame tells a story of survival, beauty, and connection. It’s a paradise for those who seek to capture nature in its most authentic form.

MEET YOUR MENTOR
A teacher by profession and a self-taught wildlife photographer by passion, Bodhisattwa Maity captures nature’s raw beauty with a storyteller’s eye. Exploring the forests of North Bengal and the Sundarbans, he masterfully blends animals and environment in motion, and behavior to create striking imagery.
Important Points to Consider
Preparation: Be prepared both physically and mentally for the humid, unpredictable, and tropical conditions of the Sundarbans. Sudden rain, bright sun, and tide variations are common so please plan accordingly.
Wildlife & Weather: Wildlife Photography in the Sundarbans is highly dependent on weather and tidal conditions. While we plan routes and schedules, unforeseen natural changes may occur. These are beyond human control, and no refunds will be issued in such cases.
Accommodation: Stays will be in hotels and on a multideck boat. All facilities are clean and comfortable, with attached bathrooms in hotels and basic hygienic facilities on the boat.
Connectivity: Network connectivity may be limited in deep forest or river routes. We encourage you to enjoy the digital detox and connect with nature instead.
What to Carry: Carry suitable clothing for the hot, humid, and sometimes breezy climate. This includes light cotton wear, rain gear, caps, sunglasses, and footwear with a good grip.
Delays: In the event of any mechanical or tidal delay, participants are requested to stay patient until alternate arrangements are made.
Meals: Meals will be freshly prepared, including veg and nonveg options like rice, dal, fish, chicken, vegetables, roti, and tea/coffee.
Hydration & Ecology: Drink plenty of water to stay hydrated. Also, please avoid throwing plastic, food waste, or any litter into the river or forest areas. Let's keep the Sundarbans clean and wild.
Health: Please carry personal medication if needed, as medical facilities are limited once we enter the core area.
Power: Power backup will be available for charging cameras and phones, but we recommend carrying extra batteries and memory cards.
Respect Wildlife: Respect the environment and wildlife. Avoid loud noises, unnecessary movement, or the use of flash that may disturb animals or birds.
