Important Points to Consider

  • Be prepared both physically and mentally for cold and windy conditions of Zanskar.

  • Please note that Astro Landscape Photography is significantly influenced by local weather conditions. We put great effort into planning our trips and conducting thorough research to minimize the impact of weather-related disruptions. While such events are considered acts of God, we take all possible steps to reduce their occurrence. However, please be aware that no refunds will be issued in these situations.

  • Please note that during our tent stays (except at Gonbo Ranjan), there will be no built-in bathroom facilities. Participants will use designated toilet tents, which we ensure are clean and hygienic for your comfort.

  • Ensure you carry adequate clothing for the cold, including windcheaters, balaclavas, gloves, and warm socks.

  • In the event of a vehicle breakdown on the way, you will need to wait until the vehicle is repaired, as no alternate arrangements are available.

  • Meals will be provided according to the hotel/home stay menu, including options like chicken, eggs, dal, rice, roti, vegetables, Maggi, bread, and tea. However, after leaving Leh, non-vegetarian food options will be limited and often not very hygienic, as fresh foods are seldom used. We recommend sticking to vegetarian meals until we return to Leh for a safer dining experience.

  • Drink sufficient amounts of water and try to avoid smoking.

  • Please be aware that prepaid mobile SIM cards will not work once you reach Leh. We recommend getting a postpaid Jio or BSNL SIM card, though these may not function properly after leaving Leh. (WiFi might be available in certain areas.)

  • Excessive consumption of alcohol can pose health risks, especially at high altitudes. Please be cautious.

  • Although there will be Oxygen cylinder, try to carry your own oxygen cans with you.
